Autumn colors are my favorites, especially yellows. When morning or afternoon light filters through multi-colored leaves they scintillate with unmatched beauty; for me it's almost a glimpse of celestial illumination, or what I imagine such light to be. Although the yellows in this photo are close, they are not quite the same as those in the original painting. For some reason the camera (probably the flash) made them orange rather than the cool yellows I used: lemon yellow. (15" x 22")
