COMING STORM

(22 X 15") $100.00. I'm sitting here looking at the original and comparing it to the photo and, well, I know I've complained about the transfer problem(from original to blog) before, but I've got to say that the photo is much duller, especially the yellows, than the painting itself. In other words, the yellow colors in the painting are cooler and much more brilliant. Oh well, maybe you can exercise your imagination a little. $100.00

BAKER CREEK AUTUMN

(Yikes! I'm suddenly on my last sheet of Arches. Can't believe how quickly it disappears.) This scene is from Great Basin National Park. You haven't been there? Never heard of it? Not surprising since it's located a long way from anywhere. It's an interesting place however, especially the Lehman Cave tour. Some nice scenery too.  (22" x 15")

BAKER CREEK SHADOWS III

Okay, so I've painted this before. However, I sold number II and didn't realize that my better half had her eye on it for the living room. So yesterday I started and finished number III. I told her I could paint this scene (or any scene)  100 + times and no two would be alike. That's the nature of this wonderful medium we call watercolor.  ( 22" x 15") Need I say it's not for sale?

GOLD

The basic composition is similar, but the color palette is entirely different from the colors in the photo I took at Baker Creek two weeks ago. Unfortunately, this photo doesn't show much of the subtle light yellows that exist in the painting.  (22" x 15")   $250.00

FALL IS IN THE AIR

We had the pleasure recently of having one of our former exchange students, a young lady from Germany, return and stay with us for three weeks. While she was here she wanted to visit  Lehmann Cave in Great Basin National Park, so we made a day trip there. This is more of the scenery around Baker Creek.  (22" x 15")  $125.00
