ZIPPY

One of the ugliest dogs I've ever seen. She lived with us for over 15 years before finally meeting her demise doing one of the things she loved most: attempting to bring down a half-ton Ford pickup.  (15" x 11")

Ah, poor Zippy. At least she died doing what she loved. There's something oriental about this piece. I think you captured her essence in this frozen moment of action. Very beautiful.

I do not think Zippy is ugly. At least this is not the ugliness that your work reflects the sadness of course, but it's probably one of his teachers is translated

Ah, if she chased trucks for 15 years, she must have been pretty good - maybe she slowed down as she aged :) Beauty is, indeed, in the eye of the beholder :) ha ha

She looks spirited which she obviously was. You captured that trait. And I don't think she is ugly at all.
