MORNING SURPRISE

Around ten in the morning the wife and I were working in the backyard in the garden. I happened to look over the fence into the neighbor's back yard, and to my surprise I spotted this cautious little mule deer doe. She looked back at me and then continued browsing on the grass. I ran in the house and grabbed my camera and began shooting. She glanced at me occasionally, but seemed more concerned about eating. I assume that after a few seconds she grew nervous at the sound of the camera and decided to move on to greener pastures.
