I painted this using a combination of reference photos taken near Ursine, Nevada. I'm not a purist concerning transparent watercolors, although I seldom use opaque pigments. This is one instance where I used opaque white for some of the highlights. No longer in my collection. (15" x 22")

I really love this! I often use more than one reference photo for my work, too.
